It is Southern Afghanistan. I was there as part of a special operations task force and the kind gentleman I am conversing with in the picture was a Taliban Commander we had gone there to capture. Being one of the bearded guys has its perks but I had my best times working missions with conventional Army and USMC.

Thanks to all for the kind words. I am humbled everyday when I think of my friends who made the ultimate sacrifice and those I never knew. Military service is not for everyone but it has been very good to me which is why I will continue to serve in my civilian career.

Hey Keith - man it's great to see that Wysocki kid again! You've got a great start on the collection.

If the Wysocki beast turns out to be a female, we'd have to put her with my new Lemon Tree male in a couple of years...it'd be a killer pairing.

The Craigslist thing was kind of funny. I saw an ad for a male and female gtp on Craigslist. When I emailed the woman said her husband, who had recently ran off had purchased the two animals from Kingsnake.com She did have any of the paperwork or anything. She told me if I take both I could have 1.1 Aru type gtps with two large exoterra enclosures and stands for $500 cash. I stopped by and grabbed everything. I had them treated for parasites and they have been problem free since August when I got them. I will get a pic of the male. He has been in an exoterra enclosure on my desk at work. Everyone loves him and he is getting lots of white scales. What a deal from Craigslist.

I had the pleasure of hearing Toby Keith when I was in Iraq. It is a shame that everyone in the country does not feel the same way. But that is their right and that is why we do what we do. Great videos. I look forward to meeting all of you someday. At the next Chondrofest perhaps.

Because at least one person contacted me and said my photo of me doing an interrogation sickened them I would like to make the following statement:

The photo was cleared by my Command Public Affairs Officer and JAG for posting because it revealed no classified information, did not divulge any tactics or equipment, and protected the identity of the Taliban Commander as well as my interpreter. For those of you who have seen me in person you can also attest that I in no way resemble this photo during my daily life. I have earned the right to post this picture, something I have defended for a majority of my life and I make no apologies for it.

you could have had a pic of you beating the hell out of one of them with a car battery hooked to their nuts and I would cheer!
I have 3 friends over there and they tell me the horror stories. I have seen the vids of the beheadings and burnings of US citizens and Soldiers and it outrages me that ANYONE can not see that they HATE us and would kill every one of us if they had the chance.
So F@#$% them and THANK YOU and all the troops for your work and help in keeping this country free.
For as much as this Government pisses me off. I am PROUD to be an American that lives Better then 95% of the rest of the world!
Our poverty is superstar status in most countrys. go to most of China and the Phillipenes and try living there!
They lost ALL human right the second they shoot a gun at me or any other US citizen! "We have to be nice, they have rights" BULL *#!#!

Wonderful animals. I also thank you for your service to this country.

and on the interrogation... they do have rights "We hold these truths to be self-evident: That all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness..." - Declaration of independence. This is how our fore-fathers would have wanted us to live. Not every taliban or iraqi is pure evil incarnate when they were born. I'm sure many of us have to struggle with certain beliefs we were raised with. Some of my family were very racist when I was growing up and I believed that blacks were bad people. You can translate that to americans or western civilization to the iraqis and taliban. So its hard to say who has a good heart and who is bad and its not for any one person to decide. But I'll end this here I was just a little blown away by the mockery of individual rights.
